A reminder that Early Bird Registration for the 2027 ARCOS Conference is now open and is due October 31st (2 more weeks!)

Here’s how to register:

Visit the main ARCOS page and click on “Register for 2027 Annual Conference”

From there, you can:

• Register for the conference
• View the preliminary program
• Book your hotel room (once registered-link to the discounted block of rooms will be included in the registration confirmation/receipt email)

Conference Details:

•   February 16 – 18 , 2027
•   The Westin Galleria Dallas

•   Rooms are $249 + tax/night (limited availability—first come, first served!)
•   Thursday February 18th – Winter CORD Conference sessions begin at 1:00 PM. Separate registration is required.

– Regular Rate: $700 – Payment due by November 30, 2026

Hey Vanessa! I have always set it as 11/1… Do not ask me why, but I feel that is enough time for candidates to get their apps done and submitted, and for my PD and APD to review and determine who to invite.

I was going to comment to partner with your Faculty’s medical assistants/clinic rooming staff and have them do it in clinic, but I see you have tried that already? I know that Fellowship is totally different-I only have 3 fellows and 9 faculty-much easier to handle. But what I do is I give the MAs a paper copy of the Patient Evaluation of the Fellow about a month before they are due and hope they can ask a patient to complete it on their way out. The eval is only 6 questions long, so it should take maybe 2 minutes to complete, which makes it more likely that a patient would take the time. I am surprised that QR Codes have not worked? You both have given me the idea to do that instead myself… I should mention that I do have to remind the MAs maybe twice during that month… Sorry I am not of much help, but I wanted to comment anyways…

A reminder that to keep your membership active and avoid any interruption in benefits, dues must be renewed by July 31, 2026. Memberships that are not renewed by this date will be deactivated.

Maintaining an active ARCOS membership gives you continued access to:

-The ARCOS website and Online Community
-Virtual sessions and professional updates
-Eligibility to register and discounts for the ARCOS Annual Conference

As a reminder, ARCOS dues are paid by institution, meaning all orthopaedic coordinators at your institution are covered under one annual fee. Please ensure that the Primary Member and all Associate Members are listed under the exact same institution name, so everyone remains included and active.

As of today, 75% of the institutions/primary members have not renewed dues yet.

Hi Lauren! Yes-there was a separate registration for each ARCOS and CORD and there will be a separate check in for each as well! This is our second year doing it together with CORD, so I bet you are not the only one experiencing this model for the first time-so thank you for asking, as I bet there are other coordinators wondering too! Hi Jennifer

I only have a Sports Medicine Fellowship, so my interviews are in a smaller scale-of course. But, we plan to take applicants to our TRIA suite at the Hockey Arena- we cover the MN Wild so we have a suite assigned to us a few of the many home games. The problem is that I can only take 30 people, including me and 2 of my 3 current fellows, so I do not allow faculty to attend (my PD is the Team Physician for the MN Wild, so he is there covering the game and shows up for a bit-and the 3rd fellow is usually covering games too) so I keep a ‘first comes, first serves’ RSVP list and take the first 27 applicants that say yes… That also helps me identify ‘responsible’ residents that plan ahead… LOL 😉

We give our graduates carry-on luggage embroidered with our TRIA logo. They come up to be about $120 or so each… We only have 3 fellows a year, so it is not that bad for us… but I can see how it might be a bit spendy if you have 20+ graduates 🙂

You can submit the information through our website.

Log in to your ARCOS account, and on the main page, under 2025 Annual ARCOS Conference  you can see the red buttons that take you directly to the appropriate submission forms.

As a reminder, at our 2024 ARCOS Annual Conference, Starla Pathak presented “Managing Expectations with Your Program Director, Residents, Medical Students, Rotators and Yourself” during the Patsi Furr Coordinator Spotlight. And Annie Detrick, BFA presented a poster “Design and Implementation of a Cross-Institutional, Orthopaedic Bootcamp Skills Training Curriculum (O.R.I.F)”
