KeymasterHello, Everyone!
Just a note to clear up the timeline for this collaboration with CORD. We will NOT be having the ARCOS Conference in June! The dates being considered are January/February to avoid the ACGME Conference. Please feel free to contact us via email with your questions!

KeymasterThanks for sharing, Cheryl!
I looked at http://www.nsama.org and the fee to join is just $45/year. I re-cert for TAGME this year so I will be getting a membership and submitting it for reimbursement – can’t hurt to try!
Hope everyone is caught up on their emails!

KeymasterHello All,
Has anyone had a proctored in person OITE, yet? My question is: What was the responsibility of the second proctor? Did they have to log in and have a password like the first proctor? I am not finding any mention of the second proctor in the Proctor Guide (which maybe should be Proctors’ Guide???) 🙂
Thanks,
~Laurel

So sorry this happened to you and your residents 🙁

KeymasterThe AAOS / OITE Team is most always featured at the ARCOS Conference (unless they cannot make it) and we do have them scheduled this year.
Please get up to the mic and ask them your questions in February!!! They need to know your difficulties and that of your residents, as well.
I would also like to hear how everyone fares with the 2 proctor system. The Board of Directors met with the OITE team in May and expressed concerns about this issue.
We will test in person this weekend, but as many of you are aware, there have been problems in the past!!
Stay Calm and Coordinate On!!

KeymasterHey Courtney,
I reached out to our ortho coders to ID the codes that were needed and added those to the spread sheet. It made getting the numbers for whomever does that in your institution a lot easier. If you have to gather info from other institutions, this is a better way to explain it to them, too. I have also gone through long lists and picked out the numbers that I needed. It’s not a fun process.
Maybe someone else has another idea??? 🙂
Best of luck!!
~Laurel
