I promised Laurel last week at ARCOS that I would post about a couple of other program coordinator resources and organizations.

http://www.nsama.org – National Society of Academic Medical Administrators

I paid the membership fee myself this year because I really like being part of this group. I completed their New Administrator Training Program 2 years ago, and as a new PC, it was very helpful! Next year, I have budgeted to participate in the Advanced Administrator Training Program. While I did not take the TAGME exam this year, I did participate in almost all of their TAGME Study Group weekly sessions from the end of July through the beginning of November. They also have webinars about On-Boarding and Mentoring. They have an annual conference (virtual) coming up with guest speakers.

Academy of Program Coordinators – this is a Facebook group called the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Academy for Program Coordinators

They have webinars about Coaching for Coordinators, Developing and Nurturing Professional Relationships, and Imposter Syndrome (to name a few). They also offer a Messenger group if you just need to vent or need support.

I feel like I wrote down one more on the card I gave Laurel, but I can’t remember…

    Thanks for sharing, Cheryl!

I looked at http://www.nsama.org and the fee to join is just $45/year.  I re-cert for TAGME this year so I will be getting a membership and submitting it for reimbursement – can’t hurt to try!

Hope everyone is caught up on their emails!
