Kim ReisingKeymasterHi Joan,
When one of our residents is having their first baby, we usually host a diaper party. We collect a ton of diapers, and everyone decorates them or writes a cute message on them. The idea is that when mom or dad is up during the night and more than a little sleep-deprived, the diapers provide a bit of humor and a small pick-me-up.

Kim ReisingKeymasterHi Rebecca,
Our residents receive 20 PTO days, and 5 sicks days. For fellowship interviews, we allow them 10 additional days (this means 10 days for interviews and travel, not 10 interviews). Anything more than 10 days, they have to use PTO. They are required to complete our Additional Time Off form in advance – see attached.

Kim ReisingKeymasterHi Michelle,
We are also going to the Union Gaslamp, using the Harbor Side Patio but on Thursday night.
Work with Amy Collins as they have other locations close by the convention center. She is super awesome and easy to work with. Oh, and their prices are very reasonable.

Kim ReisingKeymasterThis will definitely be a hot topic for discussion with our friends from the ACGME at our annual conference in Nashville. Talk to your faculty and residents about their concerns and come prepared to the conference with questions.

Kim ReisingKeymasterWe utilize Medhub for tracking works hours and schedules. Per our GME office, we have to create a M-F schedule that shows where our residents are in the AM and PM (clinic or OR and location). Like Cindy, we do not track the number of patients they see in clinics, but we can run a report if needed.

Kim ReisingKeymasterWe have been back to in-person since last year. During our interviews yesterday, most of the applicants told me that majority of their interviews are in- person this year with very few virtual interviews.

Kim ReisingKeymasterGood morning!
Here at the University of Cincinnati, all applicants that are being interviewed are required to review our Standard Terms and Conditions, benefits, and a sample of the contract, then sign the attached Acknowledgement Letter and return it prior to their interview. I keep the signed forms in my file for the current Match year.

Kim ReisingKeymasterThanks Jen!!!
Kim ReisingKeymasterHi –
We pretty much follow the same format as Gabrielle. If our residents attend a mission that is not sponsored by our program, they have to use PTO.
