Thanks Laura!  Like I mentioned, this is a first for me. In all the years as a coordinator, we have been fortunate the residents passed their Step3.  I really appreciate we have this platform for guidance.

Hello,

I have so far been able to complete some of my residents RRA but I have hit an issue.  The Orthopaedic requirements beyond th PGY1 requires 46 weeks of fractures/trauma.  We do have trauma but how can I justify fractures? Just find it confusing when Ortho is all fractues and trauma.

We do require ACLS/BLS and ATLS in our program.

CONGRADULATIONS!!!!!  I was so anxious just waiting for the email.  LOL.  We also matched our 3 spots. I have been doing this for 8 years and it amazes me how I continue learning.  If you should need help, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

I first ask them for consent. They are always so busy that they do not mind. But I always ask them for consent and if I feel cautious with a particular resident, I just don’t bother asking. I require the actual signature.
