ParticipantFor those of you that use the standard form, how does that work with the electronic verifications that are sent through programs like docusign? A lot of those are sent with no contact information.

ParticipantI have been doing a hybrid schedule since the beginning of the shutdowns in March of 2020. On average I am in the office 2 days a week. Sometimes more if needed.

ParticipantI brought this up at the meeting we had with them. One person told me that we could. I don’t remember who but another person was shaking their head no but couldn’t speak. Since it wasn’t clear I reached out for clarification last month and this is what I was told by Maria
“Ideally, we would prefer if all of the residents within a program tested on the same day at the same time, however we recognize that these physicians are on call and scheduling all residents to take the OITE at the same time would be a challenge. In that regard, we will work with you to obtain scheduling well in advance (3+ weeks prior to the exam) to establish which residents will test on any given day for the remote testing and proctoring administration option. As soon as we can, AAOS will push out additional information relating to remote testing details.”

ParticipantWe just received word that they think electives for visiting students would be available for the end of August. They would update us as soon as our own students are able to return and reschedule their home rotations.
