Viveka SpiveyParticipantOur PGY5s are all considered Chief residents. We issue them a separate diploma for their chief year too. Only one of them receives an additional stipend as they are voted on as our administrative chief.
Viveka SpiveyParticipantWe do a social the night before at a bar for the applicants and residents. We also only serve apps and drinks.
Viveka SpiveyParticipantI attached the notifications I received. It looks like you can opt in now for 2026.

Viveka SpiveyParticipantYes, I was nervous too but from what I read it won’t count until the class of 2027.
Viveka SpiveyParticipantSame as others, we send out notifications to everyone on 11/18. It definitely cuts down on people asking about things and CORD recommends that too.
Viveka SpiveyParticipantSorry you are having issues. I have 5 taking it today but I haven’t had any major issues yet. Just one that was having trouble getting into the test but he redownloaded the browser and that seemed to work.

Viveka SpiveyParticipant@Sarah Thank you for that idea. I don’t know why I never thought to do that. I love mail merge as a time saver!
Viveka SpiveyParticipantThanks Laurel, I haven’t been let in. Thought there was something wrong with my Teams.
Viveka SpiveyParticipantThanks Laurel, I haven’t been let in.
Viveka SpiveyParticipant6 of my 7 graduates had their test cut short.

Viveka SpiveyParticipantCan you create a new session to start from scratch?
Viveka SpiveyParticipantHi Courtney, We had that issue years ago. I believe I ended up reaching out to the other department and letting them know that they were affecting our grant application. I also let our Office of Research Administration office who handles all the University grant applications know so that they could pressure the other department too. Way back then we were able to make that work but the grants now seem to go so quickly any delay may cause you to miss out. Hope you get it cleared up soon!
Viveka SpiveyParticipantSame Donna! I have only been able to do a few SOPs . It is really needed but so hard to spare the time to do them.

Viveka SpiveyParticipantGood Morning, We have about 150 less. The coordinator Facebook Group was talking about this too. It seems to be happening in other specialties too. Seems like signaling is working to reduce the number of programs that students apply to. This is a good thing! We do have more signals than last year.

Viveka SpiveyParticipantThanks Melissa!
