Sorry you are having issues. I have 5 taking it today but I haven’t had any major issues yet. Just one that was having trouble getting into the test but he redownloaded the browser and that seemed to work.

Viveka SpiveyParticipant@Sarah Thank you for that idea. I don’t know why I never thought to do that. I love mail merge as a time saver!
Viveka SpiveyParticipantThanks Laurel, I haven’t been let in. Thought there was something wrong with my Teams.
Viveka SpiveyParticipantThanks Laurel, I haven’t been let in.
Viveka SpiveyParticipant6 of my 7 graduates had their test cut short.

Viveka SpiveyParticipantCan you create a new session to start from scratch?
Viveka SpiveyParticipantHi Courtney, We had that issue years ago. I believe I ended up reaching out to the other department and letting them know that they were affecting our grant application. I also let our Office of Research Administration office who handles all the University grant applications know so that they could pressure the other department too. Way back then we were able to make that work but the grants now seem to go so quickly any delay may cause you to miss out. Hope you get it cleared up soon!
Viveka SpiveyParticipantSame Donna! I have only been able to do a few SOPs . It is really needed but so hard to spare the time to do them.

Viveka SpiveyParticipantGood Morning, We have about 150 less. The coordinator Facebook Group was talking about this too. It seems to be happening in other specialties too. Seems like signaling is working to reduce the number of programs that students apply to. This is a good thing! We do have more signals than last year.

Viveka SpiveyParticipantThanks Melissa!
Viveka SpiveyParticipantI am following this thread. We have our first resident taking maternity in our program this year. I will have to report next year and plan to deduct the weeks of leave.
@Mara Sweet – I didn’t know we had to do a letter to the board for a leave? Do you know where I can find the details on that?
July 26, 2023 at 1:23 pm in reply to: Residency Application Question – Chair/PD Letter Requirement #4899Viveka SpiveyParticipantHi Melissa, Thank you for your quick response. We do both the SLOR and a narrative letter. Even if we just did the SLOR we still feel it necessary to write a good amount in the comments.

Viveka SpiveyParticipantHi Vicky,
We are getting a new PD too. Our new PD was not an APD previously. We are pending approval from GME but I believe it should not be an issue. Hope this helps!

July 10, 2023 at 7:05 pm in reply to: A Little Help from My Adult Reconstruction Fellowship Friends! #4873Viveka SpiveyParticipantHi Laurel!
What is the total number of LORs required? 3
What is the maximum number of LORs permitted? 4
How many LORs should be from Adult Reconstruction surgeons? We do not have a set requirement for this. It is preferred that they come from Adult Recon Surgeons but any surgeon will do.
Is one LOR from the resident’s PD required? Not required but I think it is helpful.
Viveka SpiveyParticipantThank you everyone!
