We do not limit the number of interviews they can attend, however any time away must come out of their vacation time which is 20 days.

We allow them to go on up to 12 and anything over that, they have to use vacation time.

    Hello,

Our program doesn’t limit the residents to the number of interviews they go on. Any days off for this is counted towards vacation. On average our residents take about 7-10 days off to interview.

We give our PGY-4’s 6 days for interviews. Any more than that, they must use vacation time.

I am a Fellowship Coordinator and in the middle of our interview season. I asked the candidates how many interviews they attend and they stated between 6-10. The candidates have to pay for travel expenses and it’s costly. Our program pays for the hotel stay.

We allow the PGY-4s 7 interview weekdays. Anything over 7 days becomes vacation time.

We give the R4’s 6 days to go to interviews. Any more than that is taken out of their vacation time.

    Hi Alisa,

At the University of Minnesota, we use Amion.

We are also developing our department’s use of QAgenda, an overall physician scheduling platform that has an automatic link to Amion for handling the call schedule (Call assignments are tasks assigned to any provider, along clinics, or time, conferences, etc.) In other words, what QGenda can do imports automatically to Amion, which is a good thing; you don’t have to have two (or more!) different calendars going.

    Hi Angela,

This may be a question for your GME office. At the University of Cincinnati, all residents are required to be ACLS certified for the entire duration of their training.

    See you soon in NOLA!

I received a voicemail from Wyndham Jade and they had mistakenly given one of the rooms from the ARCOS “room block” to you. These blocks of rooms are specifically for our meeting speakers and they are only permitted to let the rooms be given to those on a list I gave them. The voicemail from Wyndham Jade stated they had made an error by allowing a room in the block to go to someone not on the room block list. The manager stated she had spoken with Donna and let her know about their mistake, and gave her another room at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. Very sorry for the confusion Donna, and hopefully you have been taken care of.

I just got a call that Joni said to cancel my reservation? I called yesterday per this announcement saying that we were told that we could get a non-member room. Now I just got a call that I have no room – and I cancelled my private reservation and now have no room ๐Ÿ™

Thank You, Joni! I was able to get a “block room” reservation. I had another reservation privately that I was able to cancel. I made it months ago just in case. Thanks again ๐Ÿ™‚
