    Hi Annie,

Could this link be opened up again to pull down the Headshots?  I did not save mine.

    Thanks, Vicky

    Hi Rhonda,

Thank you for sharing this.  As someone very fond of Dr. Meyer, I feel 100% with you.  Dr. Meyer was so supportive.  He said we always paved our own way, however, we felt his support in a strong way.  I wondered if other PD’s would step up, too.  A special task force might be a good option.

Thank you to the current Board for putting this in place.  Wonderful idea and the extension of the additional 6 months is very nice.

I agree with how it would be very nice to have this regardless of virtual or in-person, however, maybe for those that are doing virtual proctoring, like me, we need to understand that the residents are professionals and we won’t always be there to keep them on the professional track that they chose.

It is hard for me to believe that I get the OITE weekend off and nothing I need to do when we all have worried for them for so long.

Good luck to all of those taking this exam.

Following – Would this leave policy be Institutional based, or are programs allowed to have their own leave policy?

FYI – we can join in the zoom room for Ortho at 2:00 PM Central today where they have Q&A with Corey Parker (the new Pam) and Peter Murray.  If you have time, try to introduce yourself to the Dr. Parker who is taking Dr. Pam Derstine place.  Or, if you have any questions for them, they will allow 300 people in the room.  I don’t think there will be that many of us, so we should all be able to get in and meet them.  It would be good to let him know about ARCOS and that we welcome him to his new position.

Hope to see everyone at the ACGME meeting today – and hope to personally see everyone at ARCOS in the early fall.

Our residency program fills in the facts for Frieda, but does not spend the extra money to advertise. Our Spine Fellowship program does spend the extra money to advertise.

    Hope this helps.

This is a great discussion. Some excellent feedback. If you count that we interview each visiting student when they are here, plus just our own students on one special day, and then those that are selected from ERAS, we interview many days.

So my question is – for those of you who interview 80+ – how do you do it?
How many interview days do you hold? Basically 2 big days – 1 day our students, 1 day ERAS applicants
Do the same faculty participate each day or does it vary? If they are available they do
Does your Department Chair(s) participate each day? Same as Chair
Does your Chair interview each candidate? Yes, and interviews each candidate
Does your PD interview each candidate? Yes, and interviews each candidate.

My question back on this – how much help do you have as the coordinator on the day of the interviews do you have?
