Visiting Professor-Honorarium

Hi all!

My name is Shawna Hook-Held and I am the new Residency Coordinator at UC San Diego Orthopaedic Surgery. We are looking at our honorarium for Visiting Professors, how much does your program give Visiting Professors for their honorarium? Do you pay for flight, lodging etc on top of the honorarium or is it included in the final honorarium?

We do $1,000 for Honorarium, and we cover coach airfare and hotel, and all meals on top of the honorarium.

Our Honorarium is normally set between $1000.00 – $1200.00. The amount depends upon the event and the number of presentations requested.

We pay additionally for travel expenses (flight, ground transportation, meals) and we pre-arrange for lodging. Other expenses are acrylics/plaques & certificates and welcome materials for their room.

So glad to see this post, as we were just discussing our honorarium for this year! We are planning on giving $1000 and also covering their travel expenses.

Our honorariums are between $500-1000. We cover their travel expenses as well (flights, ground transport, hotel, meals). We book lodging and we give them the option to book their own travel or they can send us their preferences to book on their behalf.
