Do any of you satisfy the current ACGME research requirement of 60 days of protected research without making research an official rotation?
I’m inquiring because there are thoughts in our department about changing how we have research as on official rotation and making 1 day a month each year for research so I’m trying to figure out if we were to make that type of a change how can we document their 1 day a month each year to the ACGME to show that we are compliant with the requirement?
If any of you already follow something similar to this and wouldn’t mind sharing, that would be amazing.
Any information you can pass my way would be greatly appreciated so I can discuss all the options with our PD.
