PGY1 Grant Opportunities for AO Basic

Hello All,

I hope you’re all doing well! I wanted to reach out to see if anyone has had recent success securing grants or funding to support their PGY1s in attending the AO Basic course? In the past, we’ve had some luck with Synthes, but unfortunately, they’re no longer offering travel support for PGY1s. Are programs still sending their PGY1s to AO Basic or during a different year? If you’ve found any alternative sources or have suggestions, I’d really appreciate hearing about them, thank you!

Hi Ashley

We had to restructure the educational opportunities for our residents due to this issue.  We are now sending our PGY2 to AO Basic Course in order to take advantage of the funding.
