Open Position: Member-at-Large (1 position) to apply please complete the Application attached.
The ARCOS Board of Directors (BOD) has one open spot, and we are hoping YOU are our next member!
To be eligible to serve on the BOD, a member must:
- Maintain active ARCOS membership, including current annual dues
- Have attended at least two ARCOS Annual Conferences prior to applying for an open Member-At-Large position
- Be the coordinator of an ACGME accredited Orthopaedic Surgery residency or fellowship program working in the day-to-day operations of the residency and/or fellowship program.
- The member’s Program/Institution must be a current member of the AOA’s Council of Orthopaedic Residency Directors (CORD)
The timeline for your application is as follows:
- Today Board of Directors Application is available (see attachment)
- Oct 31, 2025 Submit completed application, CV, Letter of Intent, and photo
- Nov 21, 2025 Submit a short candidacy video – it is not as daunting as it sounds! Let me know if you need help with the video!
- Feb 6-11, 2026 Online Voting will be open for all ARCOS members
- Feb 12, 2026 Results of the election will be announced at the ARCOS Conference

For the member elected, the BOD holds monthly zoom and two in-person planning meetings in Rosemont, IL on
- May 4-5, 2026 – always the first Monday and Tuesday of May
- September 21-22, 2026 – always the third Monday and Tuesday of September
This new BOD member’s term will be 2026-2031
