Lindsey HaleParticipantTrying to think outside the box and find a way to tally interview day scores quickly, other than the traditional type the score from a paper score sheet on to a ranking spreadsheet. Has anybody found a great method? Thank you!

Honor GiffordParticipantLast year, I used a survey to help get real-time data. The results were downloaded to an Excel sheet, and I was able to sort the applicants by their score.

Courtney MatlachKeymasterHi Lindsey,
I have my interview committee fill out the scoring via a google form. Then I export the data to an excel sheet and have a formula prebuilt in excel so it will tabulate it quickly. I try to make sure that the committee keeps up with the scoring throughout the day (no breaks or lunch until they are all caught up!) that way I can review the scoring throughout the day and don’t have to wait until the end of the day to check it all.

Noreen CorcoranParticipantHi Lindsay,
I put my evaluation form into Teams – prepopulating with the interviewing faculty & interviewees’ names so they can complete it on their phone or other device pretty easily. On interview day, I give them a form with the QR code to scan to access the evaluation. It’s quick to complete, and the data all downloads into Excel. It’s been working out great for the past several years!

Noreen CorcoranParticipantCorrection – I put my eval into Microsoft FORMS. (Our system blocks Google products here.)

Shawna Hook-HeldParticipantI use an excel sheet for each room that faculty individually fill out. I have been thinking about doing a microsoft form, but I think my faculty have gotten too used to the excel!
I also have a paper sheet for them to write their notes, but require them to fill out the excel sheet for the rank meeting.
