    Dear All,

    Happy New Year!

We are looking for members to join us on the ARCOS Board of Directors!

As you may know, ARCOS Board of Directors will have two (2) members who will be completing their terms and leaving the ARCOS Board of Directors at the end of our next Annual Meeting in March, 2018. We will have 2 board positions open at the end of this meeting, and there will be a potential for 3 positions at the end of 2019. You would make an excellent candidate for our board, so I’m contacting you directly to see if you would have an interest in running for one of these spots and joining the ARCOS Board of Directors.

The ARCOS Board of Directors consists of 11 members, including the 5 officer positions of President, President-Elect, Immediate Past President, Secretary and Treasurer. Our Secretary and Treasurer will both be completing their terms, and they will be voted in from our current Members-at-Large of the Board.

At our next Annual Meeting in March, 2018, we will vote for a new Secretary, and a new Treasurer. In 2019, I will be stepping down as Immediate Past President and leaving the Board. Julia Panzo will move to Immediate Past President, Kim Reising, will assume the role of President and we will be electing a new President-Elect from the current roster of Board Members (you must be a board member to be eligible for an officer position).

The requirements to be a member of the BOD are:
    • Be a current member of ARCOS
    • Have attended at least one ARCOS annual meeting
    • Be a coordinator of an ACGME accredited residency or fellowship program
    • Submit a letter of intent, current CV and photo
    • Submit a letter of financial support from your PD or Chair to participate in both the plenary and annual meetings for the 5-year term
    • Attend the 2 ARCOS plenary meetings and the ARCOS Annual Meeting

The letters of intent and financial support, CV, and photo should be emailed to me (vnorton@umoa.umm.edu) by January 19, 2018. Contact me if you need more time. We have a deadline for the program book for the meeting.

This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved with an organization that has an impact on our responsibilities on a daily basis. And I assure you, you will truly enjoy working with all these wonderful board members.

Please let me know if you have any questions—I will be happy to answer them.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    All the best,
