    YESSSS!  This year has been nothing less than a HUGE learning experience for all of us!  We learned things we would never imagine… WE ROCK!!!

    Hi Zoe,

    We have a “Program Specific” orientation that follows the normal orientation.  I talk with the residents about several things… one being case logging.  I give them the information for the mobile app to encourage completion right away, then our chief resident continues with the training.  Hope this helps!

    Thank you all!  This has been very helpful!  Like Erin, I am prepping for next academic year.  We have decided to make all three PGY 5s to share responsibilities, as our program is growing.  Does anyone have a Chief Resident contract in place that they would be willing to share?

    At McLaren Healthcare in Michigan, we are doing all virtual as well. Many positive comments on how well they went.

    This whole situation is MIND BLOWING! Fortunately, I booked through AAOS and they told me I would receive a full refund within 14 days (my employer paid for my stay in full, so I worried about this).

    Its a shame other companies have no “Plan B” in the case of emergent situations. This is nationwide and will no doubt cause hardships everywhere, in every sector. I’ve really taken note to what hotels I will not ever consider staying at… those listed above.

    Hi Erica, unfortunately its both. I require them to complete it in New Innovations as part of their stipend checklist. However, when it comes to the attendings…. well, I have done everything from attending their department meetings and handing them the template to fill out, informing the program director to contacting them directly. Nothing seems to help. I had to tell them that I will have to report as none being completed and still nothing. Its so frustrating.
