We only had 3 of our ranked folks not match anywhere, but looks like one of them found an ortho fellowship spot afterwards. I’ve looked up a few of the people we chose not to rank (via ortho 2024 match instagram posts) and they matched in ortho. I’m assuming most of the candidates you might be talking about could have very likely duel applied as Ortho is competitive? Possibly that is why they are showing they matched in FM, IM, etc. If no match in ortho but match in those. Just a thought. I could be way off too 🙂

Hello – In the ABOS board booklet, it says that they need Twenty-three (23) weeks of children’s orthopaedics.

I’ve attached it as well, the children’s weeks can be found on page 6.

    Hope this help.

    Hello,

We updated our evaluations with the new 2.0 milestones and we use new innovations as our evaluation program. Attached is an example of our hand rotation faculty evaluation of resident.

    Thanks,

    Hi Michelle,

Ours are rotation specific and different with the new milestones in them. (picked which PC, MK milestones should be for “trauma, peds, etc” and then added the standard SBP, PBL, Prof  & ICS to all of them) I’ve attached what we use for faculty evaluation of residents on the Hand rotation as an example. Not the best PDF 🙂

At Nebraska we are waiting to see if we have to follow any guidelines again this year, but I’d prefer to do in-person interviews. The faculty however, really liked virtual and want to keep it that way. The residents would like in-person as well.

    Hello,

I’ve been in the office full time the entire time (since the pandemic started). I was considered essential personnel and had paperwork to be on campus.

    Thanks!
