Hi All- Looking forward to seeing everyone in San Francisco in a few weeks.  Question- does anyone need a room at the lower rate for Monday night?

I booked a room at the Marriott Union Square for Monday 2/12- but don’t fly in until Tuesday 2/13.  The hotel won’t allow me to cancel the Monday night reservation without losing the conference rate for Tuesday and Wednesday nights.  I can’t afford $600 a night for a room- so unless someone can use the room- I might have to ‘eat’ the $350 a night rate on Monday.  Let me know if anyone can use the room w/ 2 double beds on Monday- and mayeb I can add your name to my reservation for Monday night.  thanks!  Joan at MUSC email = graesch@musc.edu

My PD went through the list of procedures and wrote the numerical codes on the ACGME spreadsheet for me.  When my business manager pulled the procedural data, I asked her to put the data in numerical order.  This helped to match our data to the codes on the ACGME spreadsheet.  I color coded the departmental data spreadsheet- so I could add procedures from different locations as I compared the two lists.  A very time consuming and tedious process, plus I had to get the data from the VA hospital by our campus.  I just can’t tell you how happy I am that we were approved for a complement increase this last round- good luck Courtney!

Thanks Artina and all- MUSC in Charleston did pretty well during Hurricane Ian- some high winds and flooding -but flooding downtown happens pretty much every month during high tide.

Our prayers and best wishes go out to our friends on Florida’s west coast and in central Florida!  Joan

Hi Melissa- At MUSC, my ortho faculty are assigned the different modules from ABOS and they train the interns on each module during the first few weeks of July.  Hope this helps!  Joan
