At the September 2023 ARCOS Board of Directors Planning Meeting, the board adopted a new timeline for institutional membership dues.

Membership Dues are Paid by Institution.  As in years past, each orthopaedic coordinator within a Sponsoring Institution is covered by one fee.  The ACGME definition of a Sponsoring Institution is an entity that oversees, supports, and administers one or more ACGME-accredited residency/fellowship programs.*  For ARCOS membership, each orthopaedic sponsoring institution will have one coordinator as a Primary member, who will oversee billing for that institution’s dues, and coordinator associate member(s) covered under the same fee.

Membership Dues Previous Timeline:  Until this year, institutional membership dues were based on a calendar year and were to be paid by the end of the year in December.

New Membership Dues Timeline in 2024.  Membership dues will now be based on an academic calendar. Dues payments can begin April 1, 2024, with a deadline of July 31st each year.  After July 31 institutional accounts that are delinquent will be removed from membership.

What Does this Mean?  All members with their 2023 dues payments up-to-date will have their membership extended for an additional 6 months (Jan-June 2024).  ARCOS institutional membership dues payment window will be from April 1 – July 31 each year and membership will run from July 1 – June 30.

Our goal is to make the processes more simple in the future.

    Sincerely,

    ARCOS Board of Directors

Thank you to the current Board for putting this in place.  Wonderful idea and the extension of the additional 6 months is very nice.
