Hello,
For the larger programs, do you have a program or system application that you use for submission, review and approval of resident’s vacation time?
We are looking for a a better way of monitoring submissions and approvals.
Any help is appreciated.
Best,
Angela

I use New Innovation schedule and have residents to request to ON vacation, which takes them off their rotation. Before I approve I have some checks and balances and there is also times when they cannot take off an entire week due to call responsibilities on the Trauma service.
If you use New Innovations, this is a very useful tool to keep up with vacation time

Thank you for your response.
We use MedHub as a monitoring system and I believe that I may have to better learn the system for submission, approval and tracking.
Wishing you a very successful Match.
Best,
Angela

We use MedHub for final tracking, but we’ve created a JotForm that is used for the approval process – Chief, Admin, PD, and EA (if applicable).
Once all of the approvals have been gathered on the form I have an excel doc, MedHub and calendar to add the final time away to. It’s alot of places to track, but it’s helped organize things.

We have our residents choose vacation dates prior to the start of the academic year. We then enter these dates in MedHub. Any changes to the dates must be made via MedHub. We do bi-monthly reports to ensure all the residents have their vacation time assigned.
We have our rotation schedule on excel with a tab for PTO (personal time/vacation time). We monitor changes on this sheet which we then post to the rotation schedule. It is the resident’s responsibility to submit any changes to time off via MedHub.
