Upcoming Events – Open Calls and 2023 Annual ARCOS Meeting

I wanted to provide you with the following details regarding upcoming ARCOS events/opportunities:

• 2023 Annual ARCOS Meeting, March 7-10, 2023 – Attached please find the Save-the-date flyer for the upcoming 2023 Annual ARCOS meeting, which will be held in Las Vegas. Details on housing and meeting registration will be made available as soon as the details are confirmed. We are planning an excellent meeting agenda, the details of which will be provided soon! We look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas!
• Call for Patsy Furr Lectureship and Poster abstracts – I want to encourage each of you to consider submitting an abstract for the Patsi Furr Lectureship and/or a scholarly poster. It has been the aim of the Board to ensure that the ARCOS membership is provided with opportunities for professional development – such as these. We encourage you to submit an abstract based on the suggested topic areas specified on the submission form. For more details, please see the submission form located on the ARCOS home page at https://arcosonline.org/ as well as Laurel Lewis’ Online Community post from September 15, 2022.
• Voting Process – As a reminder, the deadline to vote on the updated version of the ARCOS Bylaws is October 18, 2022. To place your vote, go to the ARCOS home page (https://arcosonline.org/) and click on the ‘Vote on New Bylaws by 10/18/22’ button.
• Virtual Webinar Session – If you able to attend, be sure to register for the next installment of our virtual webinar series this Thursday, October 13 at 3pm (Eastern Standard Time). The topic is on the AAOS’ Resident Orthopaedic Core Knowledge (ROCK) program – currently available for free (through June 30, 2023) for US-based programs (program directors, program coordinators, and residents). The session will be recorded.

Recruitment season is upon us! I hope that each of you experience a successful recruitment season!
