Hi-Can you pass along to anyone that is interested in a Spine Fellowship for this upcoming year 2024-2025.  Thank you and much appreciated

    NEBH Spine Fellowship Description

Education and training in spine surgery are the primary focus of this combined orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine fellowship. The goal is to ensure that trainees will be well prepared to begin a spine surgery career with confidence. This program offers extensive experience with the evaluation and management of adult spinal disorders. During this one-year fellowship, the fellow will have training opportunities at the New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH), and also the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). The NEBH is our BILH Network’s premier musculoskeletal hospital. The BIDMC is our Network’s tertiary care center and level one trauma center.  The fellow may additionally have training opportunities at the New England Baptist Outpatient Care Center, with ambulatory spine surgery. In these environments, our spine surgery fellows are trained to treat the gamut of adult spinal disorders. The Fellow collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, working with a large group of full-time orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine surgeons, neuroradiologists, as well as physiatry and pain medicine specialists.  The training background of our multi- departmental teaching staff is diverse, exposing the fellow to a wide variety of surgical and other interventional techniques.  A high volume of spinal disorders is seen in our combined campuses, with over 2000 surgical cases per year, including degenerative, traumatic, congenital, neoplastic, iatrogenic, and deformity conditions. This offers the fellow a broad and deep clinical experience. The Fellow will be active in resident teaching, clinics, and conferences such as indications conference, monthly Orthopaedic Grand Rounds, spine indications conference, journal club, and M & M conference.  The fellowship also offers research opportunities. With the support of an attending sponsor and the Orthopaedic Research Department each Fellow is expected to prepare at least one research project suitable for presentation at a national meeting and publication in a peer-reviewed journal.    Please send CV to Debby DiMartino – ddimarti@nebh.org
