My PD asked that I reach out to this community in regards to sub-internships/away rotations. Given the COVID-19 situation, what are your institutions doing (if anything) regarding sub-internships/away rotations? Business as usual? Discussions of cancelling or only doing a few rotation blocks, etc.? Thanks in advance for your reply!

We are allowing our students who have scheduled rotations to finish their rotations with us. We are not allowing any visiting students after this month. Our students on away rotations are allowed to finish them but will most likely have to be cleared to come back to our hospital. Some of the local universities are cancelling their students clinical rotations though.

Our institution has cancelled all away rotations for our residents and cancelled all students and rotators coming into our institution. They’ve also cancelled all elective surgeries.
