Just in case anybody else is having challenges wondering which rotations are considered adult ortho, and which are clinical sub-specialty on your RRAs, I wanted to share the clarification I received from the ABOS this morning. Here’s what they replied:

“What is correct for one program may not be correct for another. Each program is different, and it is up to the Program Director to classify the rotations. The rotations can even be split between classifications depending on the educational content during the rotation. For example, Oncology may be split between Adult and Clinical Specialties or recorded in one or the other.”

For other RRA questions, I’m also including the link the ABOS provided from their webinar last week, reviewing the process for this year, in case you weren’t able to attend. Happy June, everybody! – Laurie
