Recruitment Care Packages

This year our program is considering recruitment care packages to send to the applicants that are interviewed after their interviews have been completed. Would some of you be willing to share if your program has done this before and if so what type of items are placed in the care packages? Thanks

Hi Lorena,

Yes, we have done this in the past.  We found a local company that gathered snacks and drinks from our area and sent the packages to the medical students.  They really seem to appreciate the thought and even to learn that our county is known as “The Snack Food Capitol of the World” actually located in “The Pretzel Belt of Pennsylvania.”  🙂  Great reason to match with our program, right??  I think just about anything you can send them would be appreciated.  I don’t think it has to be some claim to fame of the area, just a nice reminder that your program values them.

Lead time is important so it’s good that you are planning ahead of time!
