Hope the start of the interview season is off to a good start!
I wanted to check in with the group to see what everyone was doing about their pre-interview social event. We are going back and forth about if we need to have a zoom the night before (in lieu of our usual dinner) or is having residents available during the interview day enough? On one hand I wonder if it would be strange not to have something the night before since it’s tradition. Although on the other hand students could be interviewing at multiple places on the same day, so are we just adding stress to them to try and attend multiple events?
Looking forward to hearing everyone’s plans!

October 30, 2020 at 12:38 pm #2356Jennifer DuaneKeymasterWe are still planning to do a pre-interview social. While we do plan to encourage residents to participate in “waiting rooms” on the interview day, our interview day schedule is so tightly packed that we don’t think we’d be able to fit in a session for meaningful presentation about the program and opportunity for dialogue with residents.
