Dear Program Directors and Program Coordinators,
We are pleased to announce the dates of the 2024 Pittsburgh Spine Summit (August 8-10). It is our pleasure to extend to you this invitation to nominate a resident and/or fellow from your program to attend. This course is hosted by the Allegheny Health Network Neuroscience Institute and is being held Allegheny General Hospital, in Pittsburgh, PA. We are recruiting Neurosurgery and Orthopedic senior-level resident, fellow and early career spine surgeon attendees. We would like to take this opportunity to encourage you to nominate a resident or fellow to attend this year.
This annual course focuses on highlighting the advancements in Spine Surgery with a focus on hands on experience with surgical techniques and the latest technology. The course gathers experts from the field of spine, both Neurosurgical and Orthopedic, to provide instruction on the many approaches to complex spine pathology. There is also a strong and varied industry presence with access to the newest technology in spine surgery, both presently available and on the horizon.
The course will consist of:
∙ Lectures from world-renowned invited faculty discussing their most complicated cases
∙ Presentation of standard and advanced approaches for the thoracolumbar and cervical spine
∙ Hands-on cadaver dissection sessions which will expose attendees to and reinforce their knowledge in the latest technology in minimally invasive surgical techniques
∙ Interactive case review sessions with invited faculty
We are currently extending this invitation to residency and fellowship programs all over the United States, so we encourage any interested attendees to register at their earliest possible convenience, as space is limited. Detailed information is attached. To nominate or register a resident or fellow, please email Michele Birgelen with the resident’s name, PGY year and email address.
Please note: hotel accommodations, registration fees and meals will be sponsored by restricted educational grants generously provided by the meeting’s industry sponsors. The cost of transportation to the meeting will be the responsibility of the attendee.
If you have any questions about the course, accommodations or registration, please contact Michele Birgelen (Michele.Birgelen@ahn.org). We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
