Good afternoon, Colleagues –
I hope that you all are well and that you are able to re-charge over the Labor Day weekend.
In the past, our program has had an all-day in-person OITE Oncology review session as well as 2-hour sub-specialty OITE review sessions for the residents in the weeks prior to the OITE; however, we are looking to potentially evolve into use of virtual trainings – likely pre-recorded trainings. Additionally, we conduct faculty-led, specialty specific review sessions from July – October.
What pre-OITE review materials/sessions do your programs provide to your residents? Also, are your sessions in-person? Virtual? Pre-recorded?
I look forward to your responses!
Regards and have a great weekend,
Artina

Last year it was just July – October, but I think we’re going to do it throughout the academic year now. The residents lead the review sessions live. They’ve also been doing some 1 hour evening sessions online. Since the start of COVID we were recording just about everything, so we still have a library residents could refer back to, though we stopped recording everything this year.
One of our alums published an OITE review book so that’s the reference we’ve been using in recent years.
They also have access to ResStudy and OrthoBullets.
