    Good morning,

Is anyone experiencing testing issues today? We have had multiple exams freeze after submitting questions, similar to the issues many faced last year. When our residents select next question in the secure browser, their cursor will not stop spinning and their exam freezes. The only fix I have found so far is to pause their exam on the proctor site, and have them restart their browser and continue taking the exam.

I have also been having a glitch with pausing test taker’s exams. Whenever I pause someone who is experiencing issues, it pauses a different test taker’s exam. I contacted the technical support line, and they said it may be related to our network on site, and to contact our institution’s IT department.

    Thank you all in advance!

Sorry you are having issues.  I have 5 taking it today but I haven’t had any major issues yet.  Just one that was having trouble getting into the test but he redownloaded the browser and that seemed to work.

    Hi Holly,

Sorry, I just saw your post.  Did you get issues resolved?  Please post so others can be made aware of any issue!

It is always a good idea to have your IT test computers ahead of time and have them on stand-by, too.

I have one in-person resident testing today with no issues.  The IT guy stopped by as well to double check on us as I probably seemed frantic when he was working on the computers that we are using!!  😉

    Hope all is well!!!

    Hi Holly,

I just had the same issue with the browser freezing for one of my residents today. I called the IT support line and they had me use CTRL, Shift, Q to exit out of the browser and then relaunch. Thankfully that’s been the only one today and that fix worked!

All, thank you so much for your help! The testing company mentioned it may have been a glitch with a specific question if our browsers were freezing around the same time. Unfortunately, I do not know if this happened to our residents on the same question, but it seems to have worked itself out! Once we got everyone through the beginning portion of the exam, we did not have any more issues. They did mention to me that our residents can use CTRL, SHIFT, Q, and their time will be paused when the browser shuts down.

Hopefully no one experiences any issues the rest of the week!
