For any of you who is having a problem navigating the ACGME Site for the Annual Education Conference tomorrow, a few of us Zoomed today and figured it out.  (OK, so I sent out a distress call and a few people answered! 😊)

Once you are signed in, from the email link the ACGME sent to you, there is a very impressive virtual Conference Center.  Click “Enter Event.”  The site then transports you to a Lobby area.  There are lots of things to check out from there – when you have the time.  To find the conference links, click “Auditorium” on the blue ribbon menu.  Now you are in a lovely auditorium, select “Click here to view content.”   This brings you to the menu that lists all the days.  When you select a day, the content will be listed below.  (Please note:  All times are Central)  On Wednesday, this means starting with the Welcome and Opening Remarks.  Next, assuming that we are all going to PC005 Coordinator Forum, you will need to select that in the menu under Wednesday.  There are two sessions you can choose at 9AM Central, so please be aware of this.  It looks like we are all together in the rest of the sessions for Wednesday.

Please take a good look at Thursday as there are numerous concurrent sessions and you will need to sign up for these sessions on each day – I am not sure when they open up or, if when the session is full, they will not admit more people (?).  You will also have to take notice that not all content will be available after the session.  Each session lists one of the following:

LIVE – Interactive session with capacity of 300. Content will not be available after the session.

SEMI-LIVE – Interact with presenters via text Q&A as the session plays, only at the advertised time. Content will be available after the session.

ON-DEMAND – Session content is available throughout the conference.

Friday is structured similarly to Thursday so, again, you will need to take a look and find what is of interest to you.  It looks like the Specialty/Recognition Update session are even open now and can be viewed any time(ON-DEMAND).  SES085 Specialty Update:  Orthopaedic Surgery features our new incoming RC Executive Director, Corey Parker, MPA!!

Don’t miss the session handouts.  If there are any available, the link will be at the bottom of the session information listing on the left.

This is the way the in-person conference is run, as well, you don’t get to attend everything at the conference, so make sure you choose what is most useful for you of the LIVE sessions.

I hope I didn’t insult anyone’s intelligence by this post, maybe there are just a few of us having trouble with the navigation???  Please feel free to chime in with any info that you may have on this topic.

    Take care out there!

FYI – we can join in the zoom room for Ortho at 2:00 PM Central today where they have Q&A with Corey Parker (the new Pam) and Peter Murray.  If you have time, try to introduce yourself to the Dr. Parker who is taking Dr. Pam Derstine place.  Or, if you have any questions for them, they will allow 300 people in the room.  I don’t think there will be that many of us, so we should all be able to get in and meet them.  It would be good to let him know about ARCOS and that we welcome him to his new position.

Hope to see everyone at the ACGME meeting today – and hope to personally see everyone at ARCOS in the early fall.

    All,

Those who are attending the virtual ACGME Conference today, at 2:00 pm Central, the Executive Directors and Review and Recognition Committee Chairs for will being a live Q&A!  This would  be a great opportunity for us to meet our new Executive Director, Corey Parker who will has replaced Dr. Pamela Derstine.

Zoom rooms are open to 300 people and it is a first come-first served opportunity. Watch your on-demand Specialty/Recognition Update session in the Auditorium, starting at 9:00 a.m. Central today.
