We are excited for the opportunity to welcome visiting students to University of Chicago in the Mission Aligned Trainees to Explore Residency (MATTER) at UChicago Visiting Clerkship Program for the 2025-2026 season. This competitive program provides mentoring, networking, and stipend support for fourth-year medical students interested in addressing health inequities and social determinants of health in the Chicago community. A goal of the program is to improve participation of those students who are underrepresented in medicine or economically disadvantaged.

The priority deadline for students is March 28th with priority notification provided to students on or before April 4th.
Stipend, paid after completion of the rotation, is $2,000 for a 4 week rotation or $1,000 for a 2 week rotation.
Students may be invited to the clinical clerkship even if they are not selected to participate in the MATTER at UChicago Visiting Clerkship Program.
