    All,

I received an email today from Sonya at the ABOS with an update regarding issues with scheduling for the ABOS Part 1 Exam.

    Per Sonya…
On Friday, Prometric opened up the phone centers to schedule. I am recommending that early AM is the best time to try to call to schedule. The on-line scheduling is somewhat better, but calling seems to have the best success. Please advise residents that the wait time can be very lengthy.

Prometric added us to their “List of Essential Client Programs Available to Resume Testing in the US/Canada” on Friday.

Please ask the Coordinators to reach out to me if their residents are continuing to experience issues.

Also, if your residents are already scheduled and would like to change their date and/or location they should continue to try calling to do so and if they are able to get it changed, the “change fee” will be waived. A lot of residents have been able to get their date and/or location changed…it just took a little extra time to get it done.

    Me again –
Sonya just sent another email saying that several Program Directors and Coordinators have inquired about the Prometric ProProctor format for testing. ABOS did look at this as a possibility early on, but was told the ABOS Part I Examination is not currently in a format compatible with the ProProctor, it would take several months to get this ready. So right now it is not a valid option.
