    Hi All,

I wanted to see if any programs are having in-person interviews this season, or if all are going virtual?

    Thank you!

    Hi Rebecca,

At the University of Cincinnati we are doing virtual interviews. We have done 2 interview days and both went really well.

Hi, Rebecca. At Wake Forest Baptist, all three of our interviews are virtual. Our first interview day is next Tuesday (Dec. 15).

    Hi Rebecca,
At McLaren Healthcare in Michigan, we are doing all virtual as well. Many positive comments on how well they went.

    Rebecca,

Both the AAMC and CORD have both strongly recommended that all interviews be done virtually, that being said, it is up to the program. We are doing virtual. Some things to consider:
    1. Potential of unknowingly exposing applicants as well as your residents and faculty. Applicants may have just traveled via plane through multiple airports.
    2. Putting applicants in a position of having to decide between the risks associated with in-person interviews and not interviewing.
    3. Potential of putting applicants in a situation of violating their institutional travel bans.
There are additional things to consider but I think these are possibly the most relevant.

Below is the link from the AAMC on the subject.
