    Hi all,
My resident recently emailed me the message below, and I am not exactly sure of the fellowship process myself. We will be having our first PGY4 class in July and I am just now coming to terms with what I should be helping my residents with…if anyone can respond to me here or directly at Cynthia.Lawhorn@mountainviewregional.com with some guidance, I would really appreciate it! As always, thank you ladies for your time!

Since we are in a new program, I am not familiar with the fellowship interview process. After reading about the timeline for the upcoming 2019 Match via NASS (North American Spine Society), I am under the impression that there will likely be spine fellowship interview slots available for the 2020 Match at the NASS meeting in Chicago (September 25-28) and CRCS Annual Meeting (November 21-23). Would you mind reaching out to your contacts to find out if this is the case and, if so, how to arrange for interviews/how the interview process there works? As always, thank you for your help!”

I have been here for 2 interview seasons, and my PGY4’s have all participated in the San Francisco Match. In this match, they did everything themselves! I actually didn’t have to do anything. In years past, i’ve had to help with mailing in Letters of Recommendation since the applicant cannot see those, but now the SF Match has that all done online. I also made sure they had time off to attend their interviews. So, im not much help other than letting you know that I didnt have to do anything really!
