    Good morning-

Does anyone have a list of the required materials we need to have in resident portfolios for our RRC site visit? What other materials/information is requested?

Do they require actual score reports for Oral Exams/OITE or are we required to have this information written in the biannual PD meeting summary only?

What about evaluations? Is the RRC interested in seeing all evaluations for each year or do they request an evaluation summary?

I save everything and have been told that all I need to provide are summaries, not actual score sheets and I am looking for confirmation.

    Thank you!

    Hey Melissa,
The site visitor will send you a list of what they want to see. I have attached a portion of our letter that would pertain to you. They won’t ask you for OITE. I did ask the site visitor if I could keep all the documents electronically in a specific file folder. She agreed, as long as I could print any hard copies she wanted. We were able to view the documents together via our conference room TV. This was so much easier than putting together the old binders.

The evaluations they requested were just blank samples of all your evaluations. Make sure the Resident Evaluation of Faculty and Rotation completely anonymous – even from you. I know, I thought, how will I know who completed the evaluations and who didn’t? But they want to make sure the residents feel free to be honest in the evaluations. If I remember correctly, she wanted to see what vehicle we use for evaluations and how they are distributed, etc. We used New Innovations.

Since you are a pack rat, like me, you should be in good shape once the letter arrives.
This is just my experience, I hope we hear from others!

    You got this!!

Melissa: When was your site visit originally scheduled.  I’m trying to figure out when ours will actually happen.  Sorry, no answers to your question.

    Good luck!

    Hi Melissa,

I agree with everything Laurel said. In my site visit, they asked to see a resident binder (this was before virtual site visits) and I had it organized according to the document “ACGME Expectations for Content of Resident Files”–Attached for your reference.

    Good luck!

    Cynthia
