Good morning, I can not find in the ACGME Common Requirements that it says the minimums for the Orthopaedic Surgery Primary Procedures must be met.  All graduating residents must complete between 1000 and 3000 procedures throughout their 5 years of training.

Do you know if anyone has any documentation or can tell me where to find out if this is the case?

I have a couple of PGY4s that are short some Pediatric cases and I’m wondering if they must do another peds rotation this coming year.

    Hi Tracy

I found this document online that has info about logging procedural experiences toward the bottom of the page.

It’s from 2014, but hopefully still correct.

    Hope this helps.

If you haven’t already, I would have them go back and make sure they logged their cases correctly. I have a resident who habitually forgets to mark his as a pediatric case, even on 3-month peds rotations.
