Hi all– My PD wanted me to reach out to you all to see if your residents help medical students (Med I) in the Cadaveric Dissection Course?!
there is a suggestion from the Medical School to enroll our residents in this as part of the curriculum.

Please let me know if anyone of you apply this in the residency program.

    Thank you so much!

My residents assist in the annual M1 dissection course at our medical school.  For them, it’s a 1-2 day commitment and we think it’s good experience for PGY 2’s and up to volunteer their time teaching anatomy to the M1 students.  It’s not mandatory but we usually get 1-2 residents a year that volunteer. I hope that helps.

My residents do assist in the MS1 dissection course for upper/lower extremity dissections.   It is the responsibility of the research resident to assist with that and find other residents who might be available to help.  My residents enjoy doing this so it has never really been an issue.  If available on the day(s) scheduled, my PD and APD go to the anatomy lab to teach as well.
