Diversity Visiting Student Scholarship Program
Co-sponsored by the Orthopaedics Department and The Warren Alpert Medical School’s Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, a set number of stipends for housing and travel are awarded for qualified underrepresented minority (URM) fourth-year visiting medical students. Applications are processed online separate from VSAS. Applicants are encouraged to apply early and questions should be directed to diversity-visiting-scholarship@brown.edu.
Brown Women in Orthopedics Scholarship Program
Sponsored internally by the Orthopaedics Department in recognition of the even greater need to address diversity broadly in the field of orthopedics, all self-identified women fourth-year visiting medical students are encouraged to apply for housing and travel stipends to cover the costs of their rotation. Applicants are encouraged to contact Suzanne Swanson at suzanne_swanson@brown.edu separate from VSAS.
