Away Rotations + Virtual Interviews

Hi all,

With the new statement from CORD re: away rotations and interviews, I’m wondering how many of your home students are being allowed to do a second away rotation and how many of you will offer an in person interview? While CORD is in favor of these things our medical school feels conflicted since it goes against COPA’s guidelines.

Our institution is now allowing our students to do more than 1 away rotation. As for interviews, we are going virtual again this year.

We are doing virtual interviews.  I’m not sure what our Medical School is doing in terms of away rotations but our institution is not asking/tracking how many away rotations students do.

University of Washington is doing all virtual interviews even for UW med students.  We are following COPA policy for away rotations.
