    Dear ARCOS Members,

I hope you all are having a nice summer and a chance to take some much deserved vacation time.

While Richard Jacobs, our web designer, has made some great improvements to the website based on feedback from our 2019 meeting and members seem to be more engaged than ever, we have also been looking toward improving the functionality of the site from the administrative perspective. Having done some research into this, we have found a membership and event management program that integrates with our current website and will be a good fit for our program.

    The new system will:
    • Streamline membership management
    • Provide a more robust membership directory
    • Automatically send receipts for online payments
    • Allow the treasurer to efficiently send email receipts when checks are received
This is just a short list of the improvements our members will notice. There are a variety of features that will help us work more efficiently to support ARCOS.

With the goal of launching the new system before starting the 2020 membership dues collection cycle, we plan to install the program during the week of August 12-16, 2019.
During this time, the publicly available pages of the ARCOSOnline.org website will be up, but members will not be able to log in to access content or use the community forum.
Once the new program is launched, everyone will use their email address as their login and they will need to set a new password to log in.

After logging into the website through the new system for the first time, members will continue to have access to all of the content and community forums that are already in-place.
ONE MAJOR CHANGE: Members will need to log into the ARCOS website in order to renew membership dues and register for meetings.

We are very excited for this update which will streamline our processes and provide a better user experience for our evolving website. We know that these “new system” changes always have some hiccups and growing pains (and no one likes having to deal with a new password, but we all get used to it). But we strongly believe these changes will be worthwhile and appreciate your patience as we work through them.

If anyone has any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact Jen or I.

    Thanks!
