Hello. I’ve been a coordinator for just over 6 months. We submitted our 2nd ACGME application in August and were not given initial accreditation, our Pre-status was extended. Our citations were for PLA’s, length of rotations, scholarly activity, lacking an ACGME accredited Pediatric rotation, and distant participating sites and didactic scheduling/participation. Some of these are (I believe) wording of our responses, while others are not such quick fixes. Next AY, our pediatric rotation should be resolved. My PD thinks that we can’t re submit until the beginning of the next AY, when we are actively rotating for our entire peds experience at that site (we currently are split between 2 sites). I don’t see why putting a block schedule for next AY, saying “this IS what we will do next year” would not suffice. Does anyone have any ideas on that? Is there anyone who has applied and been accredited that would be willing to let me ask them questions? Thank you for your time!
