    All,

ARCOS is pleased to announce our continued collaboration with the Academic Orthopaedic Consortium (AOC) to create this amazing educational content that focuses on the “business of orthopaedics” and “how to navigate job search, employment contracts, and negotiation” for our Residents and Fellows.  Approximately 400 of our residents and fellows initially helped to pick and prioritize these topics and we now have over 2,400 residents group enrolled to participate.  The reviews from our trainees has been outstanding (they rated the content 4.5/5.0).

Over 80% of our Orthopaedic Department Chairs have requested that the AOC provide this content if it could be provided for free and ARCOS has just made this possible, again!  There will be NO COST to ARCOS members and their residency programs for this content. This content will unburden many of us from the work producing and organizing this curriculum.  It will also help to satisfy ACGME requirements.

Residents and Fellows must be members of the AOC to get this free educational programming and it has been decided that it would be best for each Program Coordinator to send a list of their residents and fellows and their email addresses to michael@aoc-ortho.com by September 1, 2021 and the AOC will establish free memberships for them. If you could email him first name, last name, and email address for your residents on either a word document or an excel file this will make it possible for your trainees to participate.

Lastly, nearly all of our Orthopaedic Chairs, Division Chiefs, Program Directors, and Chief Administrative Officers are members of the AOC and we are proud to announce that the AOC has created a membership category for ARCOS members (Program Coordinators) and to provide free memberships to all of us so that we can receive their communications on matters that tie to our roles and to our residents and fellows. Over 60 of us in ARCOS already have an AOC membership and Mike will email you the link once he hears from you with your roster if you are not already a member.

    Hi everyone,

We recently sent a communication (above) about an important opportunity for your Department and its residents and fellows. Here is a VERY IMPORTANT LINK that we did not include and it will help you to understand more clearly how this helps us all.

    Thanks!
