    Congratulations to Melissa Wheeler, MA on receiving the 2022 The Debra L. Dooley GME Program Coordinator Excellence Award!

    This award is given to program coordinators in recognition of their in-depth understanding of the accreditation process, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and projects to improve residency programs. This year’s recipients are:

    ·         Skyler Kiddy, MS; Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences-OSU Medical Center

    ·         Lourdes J. Rodriguez; Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Moses and        Weiler Campuses)

    ·         Hemali J. Shah, C-TAGME, PACE; University of Illinois at Chicago

    ·         Mary Anne Wesner, C-TAGME; Geisinger

    ·         Melissa S. Wheeler, MA; Summa Health

    ·         LaToya Wright, BBA, C-TAGME; UT Southwestern Medical Center

    Melissa is the third coordinator from Orthopaedics to win the award.  So happy for her and so happy that orthopaedics is getting more love from the ACGME!

    Thank you Kim and everyone!  I’m very honored to have received this award.  It was also a complete shock since my residents and PD nominated me without telling me.  It also helps to have the support from all of you- so thank you and I can’t wait to see everyone in March!
