What is your favorite family vacation?
Disney World. My partner and I have recently turned in to ‘Disney Adults.’ Half of the fun to me is planning the trips and perfecting the itineraries. It’s like a new trip every time. I really can’t turn off my ADHD Coordinator brain.
What did you want to be when you were small?
Like many children in Oklahoma— a meteorologist/storm chaser. But also an astronaut and Olympic athlete. I’m terrible at math so I got a Journalism degree.
What is your favorite game or sport to watch and play?
My newest favorite board game is called Art Society. Many favorite sports to watch: University of Oklahoma football and women’s basketball, and US Women’s National Team Soccer.
Which would you rather do: wash dishes, mow the lawn, clean the bathroom, or vacuum the house?
If it’s mowing the front 2-4 acres of my property on a riding mower, then I’m definitely choosing that. Iced tea, a good podcast, playlist, or audiobook and satisfyingly cutting grass. *chefs kiss*

What did you want to be when you were small?
When I was young I was convinced I would be a commercial artist. I still love design, but discovered I prefer to work with my hands when it comes to creative projects.
What would you sing at Karaoke night?
I’d likely choose something by Tom Petty. My car sing-alongs of ‘Yer so Bad’ and ‘You Wreck Me’ are pretty solid.
What motivates you to work hard?
A strong work ethic, desire to prove myself, and an affinity for a healthy level of competition motivate me to work hard and produce my best in whatever I take on.
If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?
If I could do anything for a day I’d want to spend it out on the water with people I love. I find immense joy in sunny, summer days on my cousins’ boat, enjoying the peaceful scenery and great company of family and friends.

Who is your hero?
I have a few heroes, but first and foremost, my grandpa. He was the strongest person I’ve ever known, both physically and emotionally. He was also the sweetest grandpa, and I loved hearing the stories he would share about his life.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I would choose to live on Coronado Island in California. The views, the atmosphere, and the lifestyle there are just incredible.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Honestly, being a mom. It’s the toughest job I’ve ever had, but it’s also the most rewarding. My main goal as a parent is to raise kind, compassionate humans.
What makes you laugh the most?
My nephew. His laugh is contagious, and we share the same sense of humor, so we always end up laughing together. He was born when I was in high school, so we pretty much grew up together, which makes our bond even more special. It’s hard not to laugh when we’re around each other!

The last movie I saw in a theater was pre-COVID! Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. I thought they did a good job of wrapping up the entire 9-part saga (although the three prequels were “meh”). I enjoyed it!

Decisions, decisions – national quilt show? Ford Museum/Greenfield Village? Musical on Broadway? Nope, can’t choose but it’s a good bucket list for vacations.
Which would you rather do: wash dishes, mow the lawn, clean the bathroom, or vacuum the house?
Mow the lawn – fresh cut grass is the best smell of summer.
