Who is responsible for GMEC meetings when it comes to helping get agenda set up and running the meeting? Is it the DIO or the Program Director? I looked in the requirements and couldn’t find a direct answer.
For WMed, it is our DIO and her admin team responsible for the agenda, distributing the packet of information each month, and running the meeting. All the program directors attend, and the coordinators are invited.
Our GMEC is run exactly like Laurie’s. PD’s can ask that an item be put on the agenda but while they participate in the discussion, they do not run the GMEC. This is a Medical Education function headed by the DIO and he also completes the minutes/agenda.
