Good morning,
How many programs send out rejection letters?
We stopped but we have been getting a ton of requests on invites this morning.
Thank you all in advance.

Thank you,

November 19, 2024 at 12:36 pm #6026Carey SmithParticipantWe send them out after the Invitations as well. Less confusion and less emails to handle.
November 19, 2024 at 12:53 pm #6027Annie DetrickKeymasterWe did. Everyone gets an email – invitation, waitlist, rejection. It definitely cuts down on the number of emails/inquiries. The only people who have contacted me were on the WL – expressing continued interest.

November 19, 2024 at 1:00 pm #6028Helen WomackParticipantHello,
I send out rejection emails and I still got emails today from students expressing their continued interest. I think they thought if they sent me an email at noon today, I would slide them into an open spot. It doesn’t work like that!
November 19, 2024 at 1:01 pm #6029Viveka SpiveyParticipantSame as others, we send out notifications to everyone on 11/18. It definitely cuts down on people asking about things and CORD recommends that too.
November 19, 2024 at 1:02 pm #6030Amy KrausParticipantSame with us, everyone gets a notification of interview status.
We send out:
– Invitations – spelling out the AOA CORD UOD guidelines
– Alternate / Waitlist emails
– specialized emails for rotators or prior interviewees that did not receive a formal invitation
– rejection emails
Emails are sent out on UOD.
I am still fielding emails and phone calls.

November 19, 2024 at 1:07 pm #6031Jennifer DuaneKeymasterWe also send rejection and waitlist notices in addition to the invites. Agree with others – it reduces confusion for everyone to receive some communication one way or the other.
November 19, 2024 at 1:44 pm #6032Channon Cordes ColeParticipantWe did. All applicants receive a ERAS correspondence – invitation, waitlist, rejection. I agree that it definitely cuts down on the number of emails/inquiries.
