    With a sorrowful heart, I share the sad news of the passing of Joni Roberts, C-TAGME, Orthopaedic Program Coordinator at University of New Mexico.  An enthusiastic and dedicated ARCOS Board Member, Joni served as President Elect, Treasurer, on the Virtual Events Committee, Website Committee, and anywhere else there was a need on the board.  She will be remembered for her service above self, her warmness and wit, and her authenticity.

    Please keep her wonderful family, including her orthopaedic family, in your thoughts and prayers.

    I will post again when arrangements are finalized.

    Arrangements have been made by Joni’s family to celebrate her life, this Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM (Mountain Time) at Community of Christ Church, 4701 Juan Tabo BLVD NE., Albuquerque, NM.  For those attending the Celebration of Life the family has asked to please wear something Joni would like, such as Broncos Jerseys, bright colors, the color purple, or something from Toy Story.  After the Celebration there will be a potluck meal at the church, and all are welcome.

    The Celebration of Life service will also be live-streamed via Zoom.

    I am so sad to hear of this. Joni and I accepted our roles the same year. I enjoyed her company at the conferences. I am shocked and will keep her family and friends in my prayers. 🙁
