Wake Forest Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation is currently accepting applications for a one-year Transitional Fellow position. This position will act as a member of the orthopedic team for ER/inpatient consultations during the week, be an orthopedic liaison to the on-call orthopedic team, have access to assist with the care of both outpatient and inpatient orthopedic patients, and assist with weekend patient coordination.
This position will assist physicians working up patient history and physicals, perform procedures within the ER, and have access to attend orthopedic conferences (Grand Rounds, Trauma Conference, Resident Journal Clubs).
Preference given to those applicants who have completed a preliminary year in surgery or equivalent. Step 3 is recommended but not required. Will be required to obtain a North Carolina Resident Training License if hired.
