Hello, is anyone having difficulty logging into the admin program workshop site for OITE? I haven’t received the usual email with the login credentials–which is usually just an updated password.
November 2, 2023 at 2:58 pm #5114Holly GordonParticipantI was also having this issue! I reached out to exams@aaos.org to confirm I was listed as a proctor. They forwarded me the welcome email, and it turned out my email was listed incorrectly. They were able to delete my profile and create a new one.
November 2, 2023 at 3:01 pm #5115Cindy ThompsonParticipantYou also have to be registered as a proctor now or they will not allow you to have access.
November 2, 2023 at 3:25 pm #5116Janet LockshinParticipantHi,
I struggled with this as well, because I want to be sure that all the residents log on the mornings they are supposed to. When I asked AAOS about it, here’s the response I got:
Unfortunately this year only registered proctors of in person testing programs are able to log on to programworkshop and see their rosters.
Remote testers are proctored virtually so there isn’t a need for you to log on as a proctor.
If you would like to know if your residents have started or finished testing you will need to contact technical support and they can let you know if your residents have logged on to the exam or finished.
The tech I spoke to at the AAOS IT number said that there is no email address for me and that I would have to have AAOS sign me up again for the program workshop, which it sounds like they won’t do, given that proctorio is proctoring.
Does anyone see a reason for me to push the issue, if all I really need is to know that my residents signed on?
Thanks!
November 2, 2023 at 4:48 pm #5117J.L. ReedParticipantThanks for the replies. I heard back from AAOS and they shared the info you replied with, Janet. Not sure why they made the change this year; very convenient to have the workshop access regardless of virtual or in-person testing.
November 3, 2023 at 9:14 am #5118Chanelle ArsenaultParticipantGood Morning,
I heard from Irene Bogdal from AAOS:
Good afternoon:
Your Program is testing remote, and this year only registered proctors of programs testing in person will have access to the Program Workshop to log in to see the residents rosters for proctoring.
If you would like to know if your residents have started testing or completed testing on your testing days, you can contact Technical Support:

This is very frustrating to have to call this number to check on their status. Especially, since most of my residents are taking it on 11/11 which is a Saturday. that I have to keep calling this number and cannot just check their status online. Not sure why they changed it.
November 3, 2023 at 9:17 am #5121Vicky NortonParticipantI agree with how it would be very nice to have this regardless of virtual or in-person, however, maybe for those that are doing virtual proctoring, like me, we need to understand that the residents are professionals and we won’t always be there to keep them on the professional track that they chose.
It is hard for me to believe that I get the OITE weekend off and nothing I need to do when we all have worried for them for so long.
Good luck to all of those taking this exam.

November 3, 2023 at 11:41 am #5122Sara KingParticipantHello! To tag on to this OITE thread….
How to I get a list of my resident AAOS ID #s? We don’t test until next week but my residents are trying to do the practice testing and they can’t get logged in. Tech support says I can find them in Program Workshops but I don’t have access since we are virtual testing. Exams says to contact AAOS directly, I have called and emailed with no response. Any ideas on where I could access their #’s?

November 3, 2023 at 11:45 am #5124Lynnette St. LouisParticipantThis is what they sent me to get the AAOS ID’s:
“If you need a copy of your resident roster and AAOS ID#s please contact the AAOS Service Center at 1-800-626-6726 to request that information.”
Pretty annoying, it should be just listed in the Roster as well.
November 3, 2023 at 12:07 pm #5125Lorin WilliamsParticipantI called 1-800-626-6726, pushed 1 and spoke to customer service and they emailed me the list.
November 3, 2023 at 1:18 pm #5126Sara KingParticipantYes it would be nice if their #’s were on the resident portal. I’m sure service center is being inundated with calls.
Thank you all for the information!
November 3, 2023 at 1:21 pm #5127Cindy ThompsonParticipantYou can ge it off an old roster if you have one, but it won’t have your interns obviously. If you subscribe to ResStudy you can pull their AAOS ID numbers from your ResStudy reports.
Something just seems off this year….They really seem to be treating this as a high stakes exam this year, which it isn’t. For those doing in-person the requirements are a nightmare this year.
I always record their ID numbers each year when I register them and add it to my ‘important numbers’ database I keep on then, just a thought for future reference.
November 3, 2023 at 1:43 pm #5128Amy KrausParticipantI agree with Cindy. We keep a “Vitals” database and record the AAOS # for reference.
We also store the roster each year, so we pulled our older listings for confirmation.
We do provide each resident with a testing coversheet – includes instructions and their AAOS ID / Last Name as listed on the roster.
Feels as if we are jumping through hoops to administer the exam. Glad we start testing on Monday this year.
